And just like that, Coddies was born – a brand with a mission to inject some much-needed fun into the world of footwear while raising awareness and helping ocean causes.

But it wasn’t all smooth sailing. Jack faced his fair share of challenges along the way, from navigating the murky waters of the fashion industry to bootstrapping his way to success. Yet through it all, his passion for making a difference never wavered.

That’s where the idea of planting mangrove trees came in. Jack knew that mangroves were not only crucial for protecting coastal communities from storms but also served as vital habitats for countless marine species, including the fish that inspired Coddies’ designs. So, with every pair of shoes sold, we’re not just making a fashion statement – we’re also planting mangroves and helping to restore ecosystems one tree at a time.

Thanks to your support, we’ve already planted over 5,000 mangrove trees in 2024 and cleaned up the equivalent of over 250,000 plastic bottles from the ocean in the last year alone. This provides a safe haven for fish and other marine life to thrive.
